Arifin Shuvoo, who plays Farhaz Chowdhury , a chef, in
Ranjan Ghosh’s
Aha Re
, is going back to Bangladesh today and will be back in Kolkata when the film premieres. “I am eagerly waiting for the film’s release. I want to know how the audience will accept me here. I am grateful to Ritudi (Rituparna Sengupta) for I got this platform because of her. She said such a film is happening and I should read the script once.
And after reading the script, I was amazed and took only a second to give my nod,” said Arifin. The actor is busy working on three films –Saap Ludo, Jaam and Mission Extreme. “Saap Ludo is a political film, while Jaam is a rom com and Mission Extreme is a crime thriller. So I am doing all types of films in Bangladesh. But after Aha Re, I want to work more in Tollywood films,” said the actor.
Talking about his experience of working with Ranjan, Arifin said, “Ranjan is one of the most sorted directors I have worked with. He doesn’t shout on the sets but one can understand from his looks whether he liked the shot or he wants you to perform better.”
Arifin plays a chef in the film but can he cook in real life, we ask him. “Well, I used to, some 10-12 years back but now I hardly get time to cook. Since I am on a strict diet, I cook my own food which doesn’t have oil or salt,” said the actor.
