Are Kaushik and Rudranil working together?

There is speculation that Kaushik Ganguly’s romcom Motamuti Love Story might feature Rudranil Ghosh. While the director did not confirm the news, the actor said, he is ‘yet to read the story’. “I did not even read the script. But Kaushik is someone whom you can trust completely. I trust him, not just as a friend but also as a fan. We were supposed to act in ID’s (Indraadip Dasgupta) new film also. But I am not sure when will that happen,” said Rudranil.
Meanwhile, Kaushik said nothing is confirmed yet. “Rudra and I had a very informal conversation about the film. I did not even write the script yet. Unless the script is ready, it is difficult to cast an actor for a character. I don’t even know when we might start the shooting. I don’t know if the actors will be available that time. I know I will be available as it is my film. Nothing has been finalised,” the director said. As per reports, the romcom will feature Kaushik and Aparajita Adhya in lead.
After winning four National Awards last year, Kaushik’s latest release, Nagarkirtan, has garnered appreciation from different quarters after its release. Currently, the director is busy with his next, Jyesthoputro, which features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Sudiptaa Chakraborty, Ritwick Chakraborty and others. In fact, theatre actor Daminee Benny Basu will also be seen in the film. “When Kaushikda offered me the film, he told me that the story idea is Ritu da’s (Rituparno Ghosh). He is associated with the film in a big way. I play an interesting character and working with Kaushikda’s team is nothing less than a picnic,” said the actress.
