Aparajita Ghosh will be facing the camera after two years in Manish Basu’s film
Gukaku- The Potty Uncle. The film also stars
Mosharraf Karim,
Paran Bandopadhyay, Tnusree Chakraborty and
Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead. Aparajita and Ritwick play a couple in this film. “My last shoot was in February 2020. I was not working after that because I was too scared to go out. I was totally at home. Even Ritwick didn’t work after he tested positive for COVID during the second wave.
Off late, he has started shooting again. While acting, you cannot wear a mask and I was petrified of that. I mean, my son Upamanyu is only eight. But now that things are getting better, I can get back to the shooting floors,” said the actress.
How is it to work with Ritwick? “Our personal equation takes a backseat when we are on the shooting floors. On the floor, Ritwick is just my co-actor who is indeed a brilliant actor and that's it! But if we have the same call time, we go to the shooting floors together. I did share the screen with Ritwick in the telefilm
Pinky I Love You, in which I played his wife. In
Bakita Byaktigato, I played his love interest. In the film
Ek Phali Rodh, we acted as friends but were not cast opposite each other,” shared Aparajita.
Aparajita was praised for her acting chops in the serial
Ekhane Akash Neel. So, any plans to be back on the small screen, we asked her. “Not at this moment because I take one step at a time. I want to concentrate on this film now,” said the actress.
