After four years,
Aparajita Adhya is coming back to the small screen. The actress will play the titular character in the serial
Lokkhi Kakima Superstar
. The actress, who is excited to be back on television, said, “I am looking forward to being part of a mega serial after a hiatus. The shoot will start next week. I was getting bored answering the same question from the audience as to I will get back to the small screen. So, I thought of doing one and this time the script, too, is meaty enough to make me sign the dotted lines. In fact, my mother-in-law was the happiest to know that I am back on the small screen! There are older people who can’t go to the theatres to watch a film and for them, the only source of entertainment is television. I am happy that I will be able to entertain them again. As an actress, facing the camera each day has its own charm and I am looking forward to it.” She added, “For the past two years I was busy acting in a lot of films so giving bulk dates to any serial was a problem. Now, I am comparatively free to do one.”
Aparajita just completed the shoot of
Pavel’s Mon Kharap where she plays a psychological patient who has difficulty coping with the loss of her son. “It is a very complex character where the woman feels that she is the reason for her son’s death. So, after a point, she consults a psychologist for help and the story takes a turn from there. I will be dubbing for the film this week” said Aparajita, who is also part of Pavel’s Kolkata Cholontika where she plays a police constable.
“I also completed shooting for
PB Chaki
’s family drama,
Love Marriage
, where I play
Oindrila
’s (Sen) mother. Talks are on with Anshuman Pratyush for his next film,” said the actres
