for her acting prowess. “Shree in the film is a headstrong,

confident

girl with oodles of talent. She is what her elder sister Tuku could never be. She knows how to overpower men even in a patriarchal society. I loved playing Shree, for she has all the shades of girls of today's times,” said the actor.

The film revolves around Tuku, a mundane girl, who lacks talent and is shaky and timid. She faces a lot of rejection when Mahadev Mallick, her father wants to get her married. The Duttas, an eminent family from Kolkata. finally agrees but the groom’s mother has a strange condition. The would-be bride should know how to knit a sweater. Not willing to let this opportunity go out of hand, Mahadev says that Tuku knits very well. Tuku is sent to a relative’s house to learn to knit, where her approach towards life changes. She makes friends and even falls in love with Shamya – an impressionist, whose nature and positivity evolves Tuku’s character! Will Tuku be able to knit the sweater is what the film is all about.”
Anuradha was last seen in Panchlait where she played Munri. The film, that was set in rural backdrop, delved into the story of a village community called Mahato. Anuradha was also part of a short film titled Ludo, directed by Shieladitya Moulik.
