Anupam Roy simply takes us to another world with his soothing voice in new song from Kaushik Ganguly’s upcoming film ‘Ardhangini’. Titled ‘Shorir Bhalo Nei’, the melancholic track aptly sums up the emotional relationship drama’s main theme. It beautifully reflects what Kaushik Ganguly has tried to establish. Each relationship has its own worth and no outsider has the right to define that!
Composed, penned and sung by Anupam himself, this song will surely tag at your heartstrings. Also the arrangement and programming by Nabarun Bose with Raja Chowdhury in nylon string guitar and Tapas Roy in mandolin, bouzouki and ronroco alongside Sandipan Parial in drums makes ‘Shorir Bhalo Nei’ a melancholic melody. Kaustav Biswas in bass and Shomi Chatterjee in mixing and mastering equally deserves a mention.
The film starring Jaya Ahsan, Churni Ganguly and Kaushik Sen in the lead, shows how Suman’s (Kaushik Sen) sudden accident, compels the two women in his life – Meghna (Jaya), his wife, and Subhra (Churni), his ex-wife – to meet each other. The plot revolves around the awkward emotional duel between the two in a time of personal crisis. The way the two women deal with the situation and balance it with dignity despite going through an emotional turmoil is the film’s primary takeaway.
‘Ardhangini’ will release in theatres on June 2.
