Ankush in a psychological thriller

Young filmmaker Pavel whose last film ‘Asur’ earned critical acclaim is all set for his new film ‘Mon Kharap’ which will see Ankush in the lead. The film will also feature Aparajita Adhya, Bidipta Chakraborty, Abantika Biswas and Riddhi Sen. After Roshogolla, Abantika is once again working with Pavel.
Meanwhile, speaking about the film Pavel informed that ‘Mon Kharap’ is a psychological thriller. “It is also a dark comedy that reflects the current society.Ankush plays the character of a psychologist, Nirban Sen. He deals with patients and through them, we see how our everyday problems are plaguing us,” Pavel informed.
The film is scheduled to go on the floors in June. “While we have locked our date between June and July, we will also have to check the Covid situation before starting our work,” the director said.
Meanwhile, Ankush insists in focusing more on content-driven films from now on, "I love horror flicks. I watch every horror release in theatres. It's not just about horror though. The next few ventures that I'm a part of are intense, content-driven films. They aren't the run-of-the-mill gimmicky films. One won't get to see done-and-dusted content like hero bashing goons and emerging as the inspiration. These films are all backed by innovative content — most importantly, strong storylines," added the actor.
