Ankita and Prantik get hitched

Actress Ankita Chakraborty took to social media to break the news that she got married to actor Prantik Banerjee. She posted their picture together and wrote: Cheers To Me, Cheers To You, Cheers To Love and Laughter ; We had so many plans for each other and our own, The Universe smiled throughout and finally merged them all to make our dreams come true! “We got married on January 1 in a remote place in Sikkim where 18 of our close friends were present. Sohini Sarkar was one of them. We tied the knot according to Gandharva marriage since we do not believe in any kind of ritual because we believe no ritual can make or break a relationship. And both of us wanted our wedding to be a private affair, away from the crowd. Thankfully, we could keep the news under wraps as we wanted to share the news after Poila Boishakh,” said Ankita.
The duo has been friends for the past 12 years but the relationship developed during the pandemic. “Prantik lives just opposite my house. And during the pandemic, when I was at home, we used to hang out together. Over time, we realised our feelings for each other. Eventually, we started dating and then decided to get married,” said Ankita with a smile.
