His three Byomkesh films may have enjoyed success at the box office but director
Anjan Dutt believes ‘Byomkesh Phire Elo’, ‘Byomkesh O Chiriyakhana’ and ‘Byomkesh O Agnibaan’ can’t be categorized as his best creations. The singer turned filmmaker accepts the ‘Byomkesh’ flicks he made will not go down to Bengali cinema history books. Anjan’s recent revelation will certainly confuse the audience who has widely accepted the fictional detective figure from him.
In a recent interview, the director reportedly said that he was not able to make technical experiments in his Byomkesh films. He had to work with same actors just to adhere to the original stories. Two directors making films on the same character at the same time is not good for the franchise also.
Anjan Dutt’s latest remarks clearly indicate he has backed out from doing Byomkesh films anymore. There are also wild rumours suggesting the filmmaker has already given the story ‘

Meanwhile, Anjan’s latest musical drama ‘

’ has hit the theatres on Friday and is expected to score well at the Bengali New Year weekend.
