Three of Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's films will be screened at the Indian Film Festival in Moscow from September 2-6. Arijit Dutta, hall owner and distributor, who is involved with the festival, told us, A friend of mine, based in Goa, is associated with Russian tourism. He is one of the coordinators of the festival. One evening, we discussed how important is it to screen in Indian films there.
There was a time when Raj Kapoor's movies would be screened regularly in Moscow and Russians hailed him as their favourite matinee idol. While there will be Hindi films as well, we are planning to screen a handful of Bengali movies at the festival. We are starting off with a retrospective of Tony's (Aniruddha) films.Anuranan, Antaheen and Buno Haansh are likely to be screened at , the festival. We are yet on decided on Buno Haansh. If all goes well, this too will feature in the festival.
