It was a dream come true moment for Anindya Sengupta and simply couldn’t believe when the actor was announced the Best Debut Actor (Male) at the 6
th Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla recently. This is Anindya first time with the black lady and while holding the coveted trophy the talented actor looked excited and nervous at the same time.
When we asked Anindya to whom he wants to dedicate this win he was simply at a loss of words and took some time to express his excitement, “It’s a dream come true moment. We have grown up watching Filmfare awards. It’s nostalgia all around and I simply can’t express my gratitude in words. I want to dedicate this award to my indomitable spirit and all the hard works behind my success. When I took the stage to receive the award it gave me goosebumps. I should also thank Shruti (Shruti Das who played the female lead opposite Anindya in X=Prem) without whom I couldn’t do it.”
The talented actor who will soon make his Bollywood debut co-starring Pankaj Tripathi with ‘Lost’ director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s upcoming film further states that his character Khilaat from Srijit Mukherji-directed ‘X=Prem’ will always be etched in his hearts.
“I will always remember Khilaat. Working with an accomplished director like Srijit da is surely something to be proud of as an actor. I heard he scolds on the sets if one fails to deliver but it is not so in reality. But yes, Srijit da is a perfectionist and can go to any extent to get the right shot from the actors,” said the actor.
Anindya further added that it’s a great opportunity for new actors as a Filmfare award is always a dream wish for any artist and any kind of award inspires an artist to continue the good work.
