The unit of Ek Poloke Ektu Dekha decided to kick butt.
The unit of Ek Poloke Ektu Dekha had a blast shooting for a marriage sequence at a baganbari in Narendrapur. The shooting was on for nearly five days and everyone on the unit said that it gave the feel of a wedding complete with tatwa and sanai, says Arindam Sil, who is acting in the same apart from being the associate director and producer of the soap.
1x1 polls
There were sweets in tatwa, which were savoured by all and sundry. We even had Diwali celebrations at the venue, adds Arindam.
Ritwick Chakraborty too nods in approval, The sweets were awesome and since we were shooting at night, everyone pounced on the available platter.
The unit was shooting Antaras wedding sequence. Antara plays Mishor, who is in love with Raja essayed by Ritwick. I arrange for my daughters wedding with Arko (Vivaan). But on coming to know of Mishors feelings for Raja, Arko arranges for the two of them to get married, reveals Sil.
Interestingly, its not just work that is keeping the unit busy. They seem to have taken up a no smoking cause too. Elaborates director Anindo Banerjee, I had started this no smoking trend on the sets of Ekdin Protidin. I had also implemented a ban on mobile phones on the sets. Whoever was caught in the act, would have to cough up a fine. We used the money to party. Gradually, we saw that the amount collected was maturing into a handsome one and those on the sets, started abiding by the rules seriously. When I joined Ek Poloke..., I thought of following the same policy once again.

And true to his words, Ritwick also followed in Anindos footsteps. Inspired by Anindo da, I quit smoking. But then, everyone started telling me that even if one gives up the habit, the urge to smoke persists. Hearing this, I was so demoralized that I took up smoking again. But yes, I did stay away from it for nearly one-and-half months. Now, of course, the count has gone down drastically. Arindam says, My daughter wanted me give up the butt. This time around, I got into the groove and finally, said no to smoking. Till date, I have stayed away from the habit, he adds.
Talk about no smoke without fire.
