Aniket Chattopadhyay was supposed to make a serious film that explored the Maoist problems in the state. But the director has decided to put that project on hold and instead work on another film thats serious in concept but nowhere connected to a political theme. The reason for this change, says Aniket, is the lack of a producer in Tollywood to back a political movie.
Says Aniket, The film,
Room No. 103, is about a middle-rung hotel in Kolkata where boarders come to stay. The story is narrated by the hotels manager. This character will be played by
Soumitra Chatterjee. There is a thriller element in the film whose cast includes
Anjana Basu, Badsha Moitra,
Rajesh Sharma,
Ankita,
Priyanka Sarkar and Jisshu Sengupta.
