An excited Angana shares with ETimes she’s eagerly waiting for the shoot to begin because just like her character in the film in real life also she’s a passionate dog lover. “I am playing the character Kamalini who comes to Kolkata for higher studies. She is also an avid dog lover and wants to do something for the stray dogs. In the course of time she joins hands with Sanghamitra (Sreelekha Mitra) who works for animal welfare and her life changes forever after that,” shared the bubbly actress.
Workshop for the film has already started and if everything goes according to plan, the shoot will begin in mid-April. The makers are also eyeing a July-August theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Angana is super happy with the response she has received for ‘Roktokorobi’, “I didn’t expect such an overwhelming response for such a serious psychological thriller. It clearly shows the audience here is evolving and their taste has changed in the past few years. Now, people are accepting mature contents with open heart. My father really liked the series since he loves psychological thrillers. In fact, he watched it on the first day and also praised me for my performance. I am looking forward to more characters like Meghla which will give me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone.”

Meanwhile, Angana will be seen in another Bengali upcoming web series ‘Indubala Bhaater Hotel’ co-starring Subhashree Gnaguly. There’s another web series ‘Khelaghar’ in the lineup. She’s also eagerly waiting for the release of her film ‘Lukochuri’, directed by Shieladitya Moulik. The romantic drama will see Angana sharing the screen with Rajdeep Deb in the lead.
