The short, directed by

Aneek Chaudhuri

, is based on the atrocities on women in Syria. Speaking about dealing with such a sensitive issue the director says: “the film was not always in my scheme of things and I had to wait for the right person to cast; I had completed the script a year back, but it was not till I met Usha (Banerjee) that I was completely convinced that I could end up in a fruitful collaboration.”

Aneek feels this film is unnerving too and is likely to be more of a statement than a film. “when I entered into the shooting days of this film, I had to change my whole course of thinking because this is not what I had done before. This film is raw in terms of looks and required a lot of research in sound design. Moreover, this is something that is more acting-oriented than being treatment-oriented. The actor did really well and made my task easier, I would say,” adds the filmmaker.

The short has already been nominated in ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Director' category at the film festivals in Rome and USA.
