On September 20, Kolkata witnessed the launch of
Nouka Bilashi– a pujo rock number by renowned musicians Amyt Dutta and Rupam Islam. Composed by the duo Shiladitya-Som, and directed by Arnab Riingo Banerjee, the song reflects themes of darkness and the constant quest for freedom, offering a unique addition to this year’s festive music lineup.
Speaking about the collaboration, Rupam Islam said, "I’ve worked with Amyttda several times, and every time it feels different and special. The song doesn’t relate to the ongoing situation with the RG Kar incident, as it was completed beforehand. It’s the product of a strong collaboration with talented musicians, and I’m eager to see how people respond to it."

nouka (boat) representing the constant search for direction. He said, "We sometimes drift aimlessly, not realising when to stop, and this leads us down darker paths"
With its thought-provoking narrative and striking visuals,
