Amrita completes shoot of Samadarshi Dutta’s debut directorial

Actress Amrita Chottopadhyay is in a happy space. After more than eight months of uncertainty, the Bengali film and television industry has reached a steady pace and several pending

projects

of the actress is yet to start.

Amrita recently completed the

shoot

of

Samadarshi

Dutta’s debut directorial and said it was extremely interesting to work in the project. It is a feature-length film with the lockdown as the backdrop. The drama revolves around two couples – Samadarshi, Amrita and Basabdatta Chatterjee, Rahul Arunaday, who live in the same housing complex. “I cannot reveal the story but this drama will touch everyone’s heart,” Amrita said, adding that the film is being made for theatrical release.

“If you ask me, things are pretty positive now. Pending projects are resuming and I am attending a lot of

work meetings

. I am also catching up with all my old friends, who I didn’t meet during the lockdown,” she said, adding that she is planning to visit a hill station in north

Bengal

soon.
