Amitabh Bachchan tweets about Prasun Chatterjee’s film Dostojee

Dostojee director Prasun Chatterjee is on cloud nine after none other than Amitabh Bachchan tweeted about his debut film. Bachchan wrote on social media, “A unique film DOSTOJEE, by a young Bengali director Prasun Chatterjee, gaining laurels all over .. all good wishes (sic).”
Chatterjee shared a heartwarming response to the shout-out from the actor. “Now this is HUGE! Love for DOSTOJEE, from MR. AMITABH BACHCHAN (sic)” he wrote on social media.
Chatterjee also spoke to Calcutta Times about the happy moment. “I am still pinching myself to believe it. Amitabh Bachchan not only tweeted but also shared the trailer. What more can I ask for?”
He added, “A few days ago, Prosenjit Chatterjee agreed to present our film just out of love for the film and nothing else. These gestures definitely help to boost the team’s confidence. I hope that now we get the love from our audience.”
Dostojee had its world premiere at the 65th BFI London Film Festival and has been screened at numerous festivals across the globe. The film is set after the destruction of India's Babri Mosque and follows the story of two eight-year-old boys who have to navigate a growing religious divide. Dostojee stars Jayati Chakraborty, Anujoy Chattopadhyay and Swatilekha Kundu.
