Alia had told me Ranbir wanted to come with the baraat on horseback: Churni

National Award-winning director and actor Churni Ganguly is all praise for newly wed Alia Bhatt with whom she is sharing the screen in Karan Johar’s romantic drama, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Speaking exclusively to Calcutta Times, Churni, who plays Alia’s mother in the film, said, “Ranbir and Alia look so beautiful as a couple. I came to know about their wedding while I was shooting with her.So, I told her, ‘I heard the good news. All my good wishes to you both.‘ She smiled and said, ‘Thank you and what you hear is true!’ She looked so happy. In fact, she pulled all-nighters before her wedding to complete the schedule. She was busy shooting and coordinating her wedding at the same time but despite the maddening schedule she was keeping, her infectious smile remained intact.”
Divulging what Alia shared with her about the wedding, Churni said, “She told me Ranbir wanted to come on a horse! She had to say no because it was feasible for horses to enter the basement of the house. Alia also shared that previously, they had both thought of having a destination wedding but later decided to have a small, intimate wedding at their house instead. We will be resuming shoot from April 19.”
