Ahaa Re’ had left a lasting impression among the Bengali movie buffs when it released earlier this year and since then it has earned Ranjan Ghosh several prestigious festival laurels and appreciation from all corners. Now, the latest official selection for ‘Ahaa Re’ is the 18thThird Eye Asian Film Festival in Mumbai which is scheduled for a March 1 opening next year.

‘Ahaa re’ revolves around a rich Muslim chef from Dhaka (Arifin Shuvoo) and a middle-class Hindu home cook from Calcutta (Rituparna Sengupta). She specializes in traditional Bengali cuisine while Arifin is a master of Bangladeshi dishes. The duo meets and discovers love through their shared passion for food and cooking. The film is as much about love as it is about life's struggles and explores why and how our religious identities should take a backseat when there are so many inspiring stories around us.
