What comes to your mind when you hear ‘Ahaa Re’? ‘Ahaar’ that means food, and a word to sympathize one adjusting to the tribulations of love. Ranjan Ghosh’s film touches down both aspects.
‘Ahaa re’ revolves around a rich Muslim chef from Dhaka (Arifin Shuvoo) and a middle-class Hindu home cook from Calcutta (Rituparna Sengupta). She specializes in traditional Bengali cuisine while Arifin is a master of Bangladeshi dishes. The duo meets and discovers love through their shared passion for food and cooking. The film is as much about love as it is about life's struggles and explores why and how our religious identities should take a backseat when there are so many inspiring stories around us.
