Actor
Adivi Sesh, known for his work in action thrillers such as
Goodachari and
Major, is set to explore new creative ground with his upcoming film
Dacoit. Marking his first full-fledged romantic role, the film presents a shift in genre for the actor, blending themes of love, rebellion, and emotional turmoil.
Directed by
Shaneil Deo and co-starring
Mrunal Thakur,
Dacoit is being simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu.
“This is the first time I’m truly diving into a love story as a genre,” Sesh said in a statement. “Even though my character is raw and filled with rage, the story at its core is about love — the kind that transforms and even breaks you.”
Known for his calculated character choices and emotionally layered performances, Sesh describes
Dacoit as a natural progression in his career. While the film maintains elements of action and intensity, it is set to foreground emotional depth and vulnerability — aspects less explored in his earlier works.
With
Dacoit, Sesh moves beyond the thriller template he’s long been associated with, stepping into a narrative that intertwines emotional stakes with a cinematic backdrop of conflict and passion.
