Actress Priya Banerjee visits Kalighat temple to seek blessings

After her performance in Rana Naidu, actress Priya Banerjee seeks blessings of Kalighat as she kick-starts the shoot of her debut Bengali film Chaalchitro. The actress is all set to make her Bengali film debut with Chaalchitro, directed by Pratim D Gupta.
With her innate ability to immerse herself completely in her characters, Priya has brought a fresh and captivating energy to Bengali cinema. Notably, Priya's journey into Bengali cinema didn't start without a touch of tradition. She recently visited Kalighat Mandir, one of Kolkata's holiest temples, seeking blessings for her new venture. This gesture not only reflects her reverence for the culture but also showcases her deep-rooted connection with Bengal, her ancestral home.
Speaking about the same Priya shared, “Visiting Kalighat almost 20 years was such a surreal experience. Didn’t remember much from my last visit but had always heard how powerful it is to even be there and it genuinely felt nothing less. Being in front of Kali ma brought tears and the feeling can’t be explained. Probably one of the most serene experiences ever. This was definitely on top of my to do list here in Kolkata and I’m so glad I got to do the darshan so peacefully”.
