Actress Payel Sarkar has complained to police that she received objectionable messages from a man who’s shockingly her distant relative, an uncle. Due to her bold Instagram pictures and videos Payel has always been targeted and this is not the first time she has received obscene messages.

The actress first approached the Kolkata police’s cybercrime cell. Officers there directed her to the Barrackpore police commissionerate, where a case has been lodged as per her complaint. The place where the actress resides is under the Barrackpore commissionerate.
Payel was literally shocked when she first received these lewd messages from the man. It continued for a few days and the person was also sending objectionable pictures. When the actress blocked the number the man started sending messages from another number and also threatened if Payel doesn’t agree with his proposal he will post photoshopped pictures of the actress on social media and will make them viral. The actress got terrified and finally lodged a police complaint.
The actress who also took screenshots of the conversation says the man asked her to meet him in person and wanted to spend time with her. When Payel threatened that she would inform all these to the relatives and family members the man also threatened the actress that he would photoshop her pictures and make them viral on social media.
Payel has already submitted the screenshots of the messages along with her complaint and the police are investigating the complaint.

This is not the first time Payel has been harassed on social media. A few months back she lodged a complaint after receiving objectionable messages from a person who had first sent her a friend request posing as a director and then went on to offer an upcoming film. However, when she wanted to know the details, the conversation veered towards something else. What followed were some lewd messages, which left Payel wondering whether the profile was fake or not.
