Actor Ishan Mazumder turns comic book author

Actor Ishan Mazumder is happy and at the same time a bit nervous. His first comic book as an author is finally releasing at this year’s Kolkata International Book Fair today. It’s been a long journey for the actor to make his dream a reality and as an artist he has high hopes for this beautifully illustrated comic book ‘Madanpurer Mamdo Bhootera’. “When I used to be in school I had tremendous attachment towards TinTin, Asterix and Naryan Debnath. We used to make small comic strips in school. After receiving state award in fine arts,I did some special effect courses in Webel multimedia and arena multimedia . But with busy schedule at work I lost truck and interest faded over the years. But during lockdown and amphan I started this project once again. My wife always insisted I should do it and finally here it is. The big day has come eventually,” shares an excited Ishan. Recalling the hurdles he had to overcome to publish this comic book an emotional Ishaan adds, “After making it I have approached major publication houses few made me wait for an year few asked money , but finally Dev Sahitya parishad decided to take it out”
