Abir Chatterjee has opened his wings a bit larger and his latest venture in short films is already a hit. The ‘Byomkesh Gowtro’ actor's first short film ‘
Maya’ directed by
Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is out now on YouTube. As the name suggests this short film has a mysterious take in it as well.
Be it the baggy jeans, oversized shirts or piano lessons and a sweet love story travelling back to the nineties, this short trilingual film will surely evoke nostalgia. What’s more interesting is Abir playing the romantic hero Anjan opposite south actress Padmapriya as Maya here.
It’s a unique tale of romance in which Anjan is deeply in love with Maya who is ignorant towards Anjan’s feelings. As the story moves forward Anjan decides to approach her and start conversations on the phone without disclosing his identity. Maya in the mean time starts enjoying the conversations unaware of the fact that this guy is the same person he used to ignore.
