Abir Chatterjee takes on the role of an IPS officer named Pankaj Sinha, marking his first stint as a police officer in a film. A teaser image released on Monday provides a tantalizing look at Abir's character. He is portrayed as a cop with razor-sharp eyes and lightning-fast reflexes, as evidenced by a scene where he skillfully balances on one hand while leaping over a barricade. It's clear that Pankaj Sinha isn't your run-of-the-mill officer; he's a cop with flair and fearlessness.

The narrative of ‘Raktabeej’ is deeply rooted in the events surrounding the Khagragarh Blast of 2014. This real-life incident shook the town of Burdwan’s Khagragarh and dominated headlines at that time. On October 2, 2014, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in a two-story house, resulting in the death of two suspected terrorists and injuring another. When police arrived on the scene, they were met with resistance from two women who blocked the entrance and threatened to detonate the entire building. The authorities eventually arrested them and confiscated over 50 explosives. This incident unraveled a web of terrorism connected to Bangladesh, leaving a lasting impact on the collective memory of the people.

The film promises high-octane action sequences, orchestrated by the renowned action director Manohar Verma, who has an impressive résumé including films like ‘Madras Café’, ‘Airlift’, ‘Mardaani’, and ‘Sardar Udham’. With such a notable cast and crew, ‘Raktabeej’ is generating considerable buzz.

Shiboprosad went on to share two captivating photos of Abir in action, captioning them, "Abir runs. Abir flies. Abir kills," adding to the anticipation and excitement surrounding the film. ‘Raktabeej’ is set for a multi-lingual release, hitting theaters in Bengali, Odia, Assamese, and Hindi on October 19.
