. The versatile actor has already acted in two plays staged by the popular group. But this time it’s a 'virtual appearance' for him, not a live performance in Lokokrishti’s upcoming production ‘

Chu Mantar

’, directed by Prasun Bhattacharya.

Abir will only appear in a dream sequence a video, which has already been shot in a city auditorium. Abir’s parents, renowned theatre personalities Phalguni and Rumki Chatterjee, will also essay out important roles in this play, written by Jeet Shankar.

Phalguni Chatterjee will be seen as the protagonist an intense, common man Monimohan Shankar often ridiculed by his own family. Following a shocking turn of events a magical transformation takes place and he is transformed into a superstar overnight.

Meanwhile, Abir will appear in an award ceremony in the dream sequence. His role in this play will act as some sort of a bridge between the stage and film world and he is almost himself in the dream sequence.

‘Chu Mantar’ will be staged on September 15.
