Abir Chatterjee is currently enjoying a wave of success with multiple film projects. Recently, he completed shooting for the action thriller ‘Raktabeej’, directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee and is now actively involved in promoting his upcoming romantic comedy, Raja Chanda’s ‘Biye Bibhrat’. However, the industry is now abuzz with rumors suggesting that Abir might share the screen with Mithun Chakraborty in the upcoming film 'Kabuliwala,' set to release during the Christmas season.

According to reports, the makers of ‘Kabuliwala’ have approached Abir Chatterjee to play a significant role in the movie. Nevertheless, the actor has yet to sign an official contract for the film. Sohini Sarkar, known for her portrayal of Satyabati opposite Abir Chatterjee on screen, has also been offered an important role in the same project.

If all goes well, Abir will be seen essaying a key character in the film Kabuliwala, alongside Mithun Chakraborty, who will be playing the titular role. This is the second time director Suman Ghosh has teamed up with Mithun Chakraborty, following their previous film, 'Nobel Chor'.

Several actors have previously portrayed the character of Kabuliwala, also known as Rahmat Khan, before Mithun Chakraborty. Chhabi Biswas immortalized Kabuliwala in Tapan Sinha's Bengali film, while Balraj Sahni and Danny Denzongpa portrayed the iconic role in Hindi. Now, the audience will have the opportunity to witness Mithun Chakraborty's stellar act in this revered character.

As the anticipation for ‘Kabuliwala’ builds, fans eagerly await an official announcement regarding Abir Chatterjee's involvement in the film. The prospect of witnessing these powerhouse actors collaborate on screen has generated significant excitement among movie enthusiasts, making ‘Kabuliwala’ one of the most highly anticipated releases during the Christmas holiday.
