Director Abhijit Guha turned a year younger today. Abhijit has been a regular to the 25
thKolkata International Film Festival this year and plans to spend the day at Nandan. Before that, he is spending time at home with his family. “I am a foodie and love pabda maachh. So, today, there has been a pabda preparation at home. I am having that for lunch,” he said.
Abhijit will be heading for a look test in the afternoon.
“I have a small role in Pratim D Gupta’s Love Aaj Kal Porshu. The look test will be held today. After finishing off, I will go to an editing studio where another project of ours (director duo
Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha) is on,” he said.
The director has kept the rest of the day for KIFF, where he will hold the press conference for their film, Sraboner Dhara, featuring
Soumitra Chatterjee and Gargee Roychowdhury in the lead. “That will start from 5 pm and we’ll share our thoughts on the film with the movie lovers present there,” he said.
Abhijit has also been watching films at KIFF. “Yesterday, I watched a Tamil film, Maadathi by Leena Manikalai. I was really touched by it. I am hoping to watch a lot more films. I will spend the evening catching a film at the 7.15 show of Nandan. That’s the best thing I can do on my birthday,” he said. What about dinner, we asked. “Friends and family are asking for a dinner treat, but I have not managed to finalise anything just yet,” he said.
