Michelangelo

, directed and scripted by Modhurima Sinha, and starring Sreenanda Shankar,

Siddharth Ghosh

and Abhinandan Dutta, was screened at the Kolkata International Film Festival. Music of the film is scored by Debajyoti Mishra. The film revolves around Nandini, a young, wealthy, married woman whose husband is busy travelling around the world. “The film is about her journey to find something beyond the superficial materialistic existence,” said the director. The change in the protagonist is triggered off by a sudden encounter she has with a photographer at an art gallery; he comes from a humble background and is shocked at her ignorance of the world. “Nandini ultimately connects with her roots and finds herself. The beauty of the city is explored through her eyes, and in the end, she embarks on her own journey,” said Modhurima, who is looking forward to the screening.
