Banerjee’s childhood friend. “Even in real life, Koni and I are best of friends. So, essaying Rahi Sharma was not difficult at all.Mukherjee Dar Bou happens to be my first Bengali film, which has got a lot of appreciation from all sections of society. Working with Pritha has been great. The

film

traces the bitter-sweet journey of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, who are out to find their true identity in life, as both of them are identified as Mukherjee Dar Bou by people around them. The voices and demands of women have remained unheard for very long and this had eventually given rise to their identity crisis,” said Richa, who just returned from Goa after shooting for an ad commercial.

The model-turned-actress is also a part of Rajorshi Dey’s Purba, Pashchim, Dakshin (Uttor Asbei), a paranormal-thriller based on Avik Sarkar’s Ebong Inquisition. “The film rationalises the good and the bad sides of popular belief and age-old ideas, the evil of superstition and the dark side of mankind. The stories are based on the concepts of paranormal psychic situations, blind faith on black magic and witchcraft, severe superstitions and rituals, reincarnation, fake identity and mysterious comeback. I play a very important role in the film, as my character can sense everything beforehand. I am hoping the audience would love it, as the story itself is very interesting,” Richa signed off.
