Paayel Sarkar had a
lazy
Sunday. “I completed shooting for Souradip Banerjee’s film, Korapak, on Saturday. We shot the first scene of the film on the last
day
of the shoot. What I like about Souradip is his confidence. He exactly knows how many shots to take and is extremely well-organised. I was at
home
the whole day on Sunday. I woke up late without an alarm. I was relaxing, watching films online, eating an elaborate lunch and had a dinner invitation at night. So, it was a perfect
Sunday
without any work or gym. My parents are here too. So, it was just adda the whole day
,” said the actor.
Talking about her character in Korapak, Paayel said, “I play Priya, who is a strong-headed girl. How she deals with her boyfriend, Dev, who suffers from commitment
phobia
, is something to watch out for. I too, am commitment-phobic in real life, but not like Dev in the film.”
Korapak is about Dev and Priya, who meet each other accidentally. They become friends and gradually fall in love. But they are not sure if they want to get married. So, they decide to stay away from each other for six months to know where they stand. “Whether Dev and Priya meet at the end is what this rom-com is all about,” said the director.
Paayel, who is in all praise for her co-actor, Saurav, said, “Saurav is fun to work it. He is absolutely hassle-free and we shared a great rapport, which got reflected on the screen.”
