Indraadip Dasgupta, whose ‘Kedara’ releases today, has another film in the pipeline apart from ‘Agantuk’. Titled ‘Bismillah’ it focuses on the tradition of a musical family and how foreign intrusion creates disturbance in it.
“It’s a humane story of a Muslim musician from a shehnai-playing community, who loves to play the flute, but eventually takes up the shehnai and becomes very popular as a sacred musician, who plays at weddings and funerals.

The saddest part is he can’t find a bride for himself. The cast includes Kaushik Sen, Bidipta Chakraborty, Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Daminee Benny Basu, besides Riddhi Sen in the lead,” revealed the composer turned director.
“A musician not only goes through music but his or her surroundings and environment moulds him or her growth as well. With the growth, his or her music begins to take a shape and changes too," added the ace music director while speaking about his film.
He further says ‘Bismillah’ is one of the projects closest to his heart since ‘Nagarkirtan’ and hinted that the film deals with the issue of communal harmony also. Shooting for the film will start early next year.
