A film on the Dhaka terror attack next?
The Dhaka terror attack is still fresh on our minds. And now, director Agnidev Chatterjee is basing his next on the psychological aftermath of the terror strike. The Hindi film, titled Jihad, will star Rohit Roy, Rituparna Sengupta, Koneenica Banerjee, Shabaaz Khan, Rajesh Sharma and Rachel White, and it goes on the floor today.
The film starts with a high-voltage action sequence recreating the coffee shop massacre, where the protagonist Abhishek���s wife is killed in front of his eyes.

A few years later, he marries Aparna out of compulsion. Aparna is trying to overcome her own grief of losing her son and first husband in a car accident, but agrees to marry Abhishek at the insistence of her mother. One day, Abhishek who is a photojournalist with a French daily, disappears while on an assignment to Bosnia. Aparna, with Abhishek���s colleague Christina, combs Europe in search of her husband, only to be left stunned with her discovery. There���s a parallel track revolving around a terror outfit���s plot to assassinate the French president. ���The film takes a neutral stance, trying to decode the whys and hows of this terror outfit���s ideologies. It delves into the concept of Jihad and tries to explore its true meaning.���
Abhishek, the protagonist, is played by Rohit Roy. Konineeca plays his first wife, while Rituparna plays Aparna. Christina���s character will be essayed by Rachel White. Ritu, who shares a good rapport with the director, is happy to be part of the film. ���My character is quite complicated and I love playing
roles which are intricate. It has a lot of shades,��� said the actress. Agnidev, on his
part said, ���Only Ritu can essay such a complex character.���
