Fear is a negative state of emotions that is caused by the presence, or a mere anticipation of a stimulus which may have the potential to cause harm. This anticipation often creates a certain phobia towards the stimulus. Mahua Chakraborty’s new film is about the unpleasant feelings of fear that we encounter in our day-to-day lives. Amar Bhoy, Mahua’s third film after Glamour and Tanzil, is about how the protagonist is able to overcome her fears. The film stars Rituparna Sengupta in the lead and the cast further includes Manali Manisha Dey, Kushal Chakraborty, Mousumi Bhattacharya, Rick Mitra, Mishmee Das, Sinijini, Arin, Sukhankshu Chatterjee, Debashish Sen Sharma, Ruchira, Nilanjan Mukherjee and Anubhav Kanjilal.
