, attempted suicide on Saturday afternoon by jumping off the roof of her Behala residence and is currently admitted in the

SSKM

Hospital ICU in a critical condition. A second-year student of

, Tiyasha has been undergoing treatment at the Institute of Neurosciences, Kolkata, and neighbours told us that she would often shout at her parents. Her parents, however, said the shouting was a reaction to the shooting pain in her neck, for which she was undergoing treatment. On Saturday afternoon, she had an altercation with her uncle before she took the drastic step. She was discovered unconscious by a neighbour, who alerted her parents and rushed her to the hospital.
