Japan bid goodbye to the FIFA World Cup in the most heartbreaking way ever but their players and fans displayed tremendous dignity and respect when they said a warm thank you to Russia. The last-gasp winner from Nacer Chadli gave Belgium a dramatic 3-2 victory on Monday night knocking out the Asian giants. Despite Japan’s heartbreaking exit, it was really a proud moment for Asian football and like millions of true football fans, Tollywood actor Tota Roy Choudhury couldn’t stop himself from praising Japan’s performance in this World Cup.
He showed his support for all the Japan players and fans in his own way.
Tota wrote on his Twitter handle, “So glad that I stayed up for Japan vs Belgium. The best match in d world cup, so far. #Japan fought like true Samurais against a much superior adversary & nearly beat them. Proud that an Asian side showed d world what positive football & fighting spirit is.”
The Bengali actor is also excited to see his favourite team Brazil securing their quarter-final berth beating Mexico.
