16th edition of Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival unfolds on January 10

The Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF) is set to return for its 16th edition, promising to captivate book lovers, thinkers, and creative minds from across the country and beyond. Scheduled from January 10-12, the festival will showcase an line-up of events, sessions, and experiences that celebrate the transformative power of literature and the arts. The festival will unfold on January 10 at Allen Park.
Allen Park will host the majority of the events, serving as the festival’s vibrant epicenter. Alliance Française du Bengale will provide a dedicated space for poets to share and connect. A bookstore on Park Street will allow young readers to explore their love for literature through interactive sessions, storytelling, and creative activities. The festival will be inaugurated by the Usha Uthup with a special tribute to Shyam Benegal.

With over 120 writers participating, AKLF 2025 promises an enriching experience featuring some of the most celebrated names in literature and the arts. Distinguished speakers include William Dalrymple, Ramachandra Guha, Shobhaa De, Akhil Katyal, Milind Soman, Neha Dixit, and many more. A blend of emerging voices and veteran thinkers ensures the festival offers something for everyone.
