Director Kaushik Ganguly who already has three films awaiting their theatrical release says he’s always been a positive person, and is highly hopeful that the audience will return to theatres soon.

“Many are saying that

OTT

platforms are dominating now and due to this, films have been pushed aside. I don’t understand why everyone is saying that. People often order food online, but have they stopped eating out? I doubt that. It's the experience that's more important than enjoying food. Just like that, no matter how diverse contents OTT platforms deliver, people will visit theatres to see films, because the big-screen experience is what everybody is missing,” Kaushik shared with ETimes.

He also admits that in order to attract the viewers good content has to be delivered. “As filmmakers, we have to give genuine content to help audience overcome their fear and go to theatres. Even producers will be encouraged to take risk of releasing films in theatres despite all this uncertainty. My film

waiting for its release while the two more films,

Ardhangini

and Manohar Pandey, are currently in post-production. I am confident films which are awaiting release will eventually hit the big screens and the audience will return to theatres to watch them,” said the National Award-winning director.
