When Moon Moon Sen’s alleged affair with former Pakistan PM Imran Khan made headlines

From Zeenat Aman to Rekha, several iconic Bollywood actresses were allegedly linked to former Pakistani Prime Minister and cricket icon Imran Khan. Known for his flamboyant lifestyle, Imran would often grab headlines for his stellar on-field performances, and during his heydays, the cricket icon was also in the limelight for his alleged love affairs with Indian actresses. Just like Zeenat Aman or Rekha, Bengali actress Moon Moon Sen was also linked to Imran. The closeness between Imran Khan and the actress once grabbed a lot of attention and their alleged affair was in the news as well. As the story goes, many believe Imran used to like Moon Moon Sen a lot and the feelings were reportedly mutual. But Moon Moon always said that Imran was just a friend to her but their friendship was fodder for newspapers. Interestingly, in 2019, expressing disgust over the issue of nationalism and Pakistan being played up in the election campaign, the yesteryear actress-turned-politician told the media if needed, she would again talk to her old “friend” Imran Khan, the then Pakistan prime minister. The yesteryear actress who is mother to actors Raima and Riya Sen even denounced the murder attempt on Imran in 2022 calling it ‘cowardice’.
