What’s Abir Chatterjee doing this Saraswati Puja?

For Abir Chatterjee, who will soon share the screen with Nusrat Jahan yet again after their last release ‘Asur’, Saraswati Puja has always been special.

“My fondest memories revolve around going to invite other schools and colleges back in the day. Since we would also visit girls’ schools, the excitement knew no bounds! Now, I mostly spend a working Saraswati Puja. However, I do visit my in-laws’ place to attend puja. As for wearing yellow, I’ve always defied pre-set rules! So, the colour isn’t mandatory for me,” reveals the dashing actor.

Abir and Nusrat will play the lead in Bratya Basu’s ‘Dictionary’ which also stars Arna Mukhopadhyay, Poulami Basu and Bangladeshi actor Mosharraf Karim in pivotal roles. The upcoming family drama is based on Buddhadeb Basu’s two short stories.

Abir is also part of two upcoming films which will see Sohini Sarkar and Rukmini Maitra opposite him – Indraadip Dasgupta’s ‘Agantuk’ features the Abir-Sohini pair and Souvik Kundu’s ‘Switzerland’ stars Abir and Rukmini in the lead.
