Prosenjit’s father Biswajit had once portrayed Netaji on screen

Prosenjit Chatterjee has portrayed Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Srijit Mukherji’s 2019 hit ‘Gumnaami’. He received appreciation from all corners for taking up the challenge of enacting such an iconic figure. But only a few people know his father, yesteryear’s superstar Biswajit had also essayed the role of Netaji.

superstar shared his fond childhood memories involving Netaji.
“During my childhood, I was taught Netaji is our ultimate hero. In our school when we used to celebrate Independence Day every year every time we used to see there was a picture of Netaji. I had heard so many stories about Netaji’s bravery and sacrifice from my parents. Even my father was a huge admirer of Subhas Chandra Bose and he even played Netaji in a series,” revealed

It is a dramatization of the hearings where an investigative journalist supporting the Gumnaami Baba theory locks horns with the official lawyer who supports the plane crash theory.
