Anirban Bhattacharya is like those actors who love to go beyond the conventional. He has a taste for swimming against the tide and is quite happy to juggle his film commitments these days. Anirban’s kitty is right now quite full with some interesting roles in
Srijit Mukherji and
Aparna Sen’s films. Over the past two to three years the versatile actor has enjoyed a purple patch with critically acclaimed films like ‘Eagoler Chokh’ and ‘Uma’ and subsequent awards.
But do you know what motivates Anirban in accepting difficult characters? It’s Music. Yes, you heard it right.
While speaking about his character, Raja Mahendra Kumar Chowdhury’s brother-in-law Satya Banerjee, in ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’, Anirban said: “The silence and the music of my character in this film are quite extraordinary. Music has always worked like a motivation for me. If I can relate to the music, it naturally helps me to explore my expressions, dialogues and characteristics the role offers. There is also a unique hidden music in Satya Banerjee’s character. The silence this character portrays has moved me. Before I used to go to the shoot that preparation was already in mind.”
