Koel Mallick: Coming from a conservative Bengali family, I have seen my mother buying a small silver coin on Dhanteras and my mother-in-law, who is a Punjabi, too follows that ritual apart from Laxmi Puja at home.
Resshmi Ghosh Vasudev: I got introduced to the festival after my marriage.
Last year was my first Dhanteras after getting married.From wearing mehndi to sporting new clothes, it is a big festival at home. My mom-in-law gifted me a gold necklace, as they buy gold on that day.
Barkha Bisht Sengupta: I am a Garhwali, while my husband Indraneil Sengupta is a Bengali.I started the tradition of Lakshmi Puja and buying metal at my in-laws' on Dhanteras after getting married.
