Did you know this Bengali actress once turned down John Abraham’s marriage proposal?

Before getting married to boyfriend Shivam Tiwari, Riya Sen used to be in the headlines for not only her bold photoshoots but also relationship rumours. Not many people know that there was a time when Riya Sen used to date Bollywood star John Abraham. And there were also reports that once suggested the ‘Attack’ actor was so deeply in love with Riya that he even wanted to marry her. As per reports, during late 90s Riya first came across John. Back then John was not that popular in the film industry and was only making his name in modeling when they met each other ahead of the release of Riya's first Bollywood film ‘Style’. And, the two instantly fall for each other. They started dating and John was reportedly so much in love with Riya that he was keen to settle down with her. But Riya Sen turned down the offer for the sake of her Bollywood career, which unfortunately never took off. She was quite ambitious at that time and was more focused on her so-called promising career. So John's marriage proposal hit the roadblock and soon the pair called it an end. After that, Riya did feature in quite a few films both in Bollywood and Tollywood but couldn’t succeed. Meanwhile, John made it big in his Bollywood debut with 'Paap' in 2003, and since then he has been one of the most sought after actors in Bollywood, especially in commercial potboilers.
