Anjan Dutt’s next is a gripping murder mystery set against the backdrop of
Darjeeling. The
thriller
has an ensemble cast including
Arjun Chakrabarty
,
Anindita Bose, Suprobhat, Rajdeep, Sourav, Sandipta, Rajat Ganguly, Saswati Guhathakurta among others.
“I have always been an avid reader of mystery thrillers. I wanted to do a murder mystery. Instead of creating another detective, I decided to make it more unique. After having ideating we decided not to focus on a touristic side of Darjeeling but on areas never usually seen. The grimy, gritty, backstreets, alleys, lanes, bazar, localities never seen before... the lived in spaces,” says Anjan Dutt while sharing a peek into the plot.
The thriller is about a suspicious death of a Bengali film star of the ’90s that exposes the underbelly of Darjeeling’s past. Arjun who will be seen as an investigative journalist in this thriller says it’s an extremely dark story filled with very complex characters, who are all contemporary and young.
Anjan’s last film ‘Shaheber Cutlet’ was a musical one that released during Puja last year. It also starring Arjun in the lead.
