Director Porichoy Chatterjee’s ‘Pani Phol’ speaks for the oppressed women in the society, especially those who face the serious issues like infertility. Women are often blamed if they don’t conceive a baby while our society bluntly ignores the fact that the problem may lie with the husband also. That’s what ‘Pani Phol’ is all about raising some serious questions.
Bankrolled by Banerjee Film Production, it’s a documentary-feature which has Bidesh Hazra,
Puja, Subhomoy, and Emon in the lead roles. The music has been composed by Sanjib Das and the interesting part is this 70-minute movie has just two songs.
While speaking about the film, the director said, “It’s a feature documentary and we don’t have any plan to release it as a commercial film. We are talking about a serious issue.”
“‘Pani Phol’ mainly focuses on what a woman should do if she faces situations like this. She has to protest and protect herself and raise her voice against such malpractices.” adds Porichoy Chatterjee.
