Adding to this, The Eken Benaras e Bibhishika has now received national level-recognition. It won the Best Film award at the recently held award ceremony in Mumbai.
The ceremony took place on April 15 and 16, with multiple filmmakers and artists across India. Hosted by Karan Johar and Rana Daggubati, the awards honoured films from multiple regional industries, including Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Punjabi cinema.
This film emerged as the winner but neither Anirban nor Joydeep Mukherjee, the director , was present on stage to receive the award. Despite this, fans expressed happiness and pride on seeing Eken Babu receive recognition on the national platform.
