New anime is officially in production for My Happy Marriage (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon), following the emotional finale of Season 2. Kadokawa announced the project shortly after the broadcast of the series’ 13th and final episode, delighting fans of the romance-fantasy drama.A new visual and promotional video were also released alongside the announcement.The new anime will expand on the heartfelt journey of Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo. While plot details are still under wraps, the announcement confirms that the next chapter is in development, continuing the adaptation of Akumi Agitogi’s light novel series.The second season ended with episode 26 overall, which faced delays due to production issues. Both episode 25 and 26 were postponed but aired together on March 31 on Netflix and Japanese TV.


My Happy Marriage season 2 faced delays

Season 2 premiered on January 6 across Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and TV Aichi. AT-X began airing it a day later. Netflix streamed the episodes worldwide in real time with Japan’s broadcast.Despite delays, the season was praised for its visual storytelling, emotional depth, and romantic development between the leads.

The new cast addition is Haruka Tomatsu as Kaoruko Jinnouchi, bringing fresh energy to the upcoming anime.The anime is produced by Kinema Citrus, with Masayuki Kojima joining returning director Takehiro Kubota. Ami Satō handled series composition, supported by Minori Hashiba, Fūka Ishii, and Momoka Toyoda. Character designs were led by Shōko Yasuda, while Kuniyuki Itō contributed as sub-character designer.Art direction and music supervision remained consistent, with Emi Katanosaka, Osamu Masuyama, and Takahiro Ikeda returning. Music was produced by MIRACLE BUS and Kadokawa.
