Actor Samrat Reddy arrested in theft case

HYDERABAD: Madhapur police on Tuesday arrested

(29) filed a theft case against him. Samrat was earlier booked for dowry harassment and domestic violence in November 2017 by Rajendranagar police. Haritha married Samrat in 2015. “Samrat was harassing Haritha for dowry, Following which, the two got separated,” said sub inspector K. Manmadha Rao, Madhapur police station.

On Thursday, the accused along with his elder sister Sahithya Reddy and other associates trespassed into Haritha’s house in Nectar Garden and stole

. Samrat was booked under Section 448 (Punishment for housetrespass), 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) and 380 (Theft in dwelling house) of IPC.
